In this interview, we feature Sebastien Lai, leader of the international campaign to free his father: Jimmy Lai, a media entrepreneur and owner of the now-shuttered newspaper Apple Daily in Hong Kong. Sebastien shares his deeply personal fight to secure his father’s release from a maximum-security prison, underscoring the universal value of freedom and the heavy cost of defending democracy in Hong Kong.
